Joey's Up in Flames

Growing up in Chagrin Falls, you'll learn very quickly to NOT eat at Joey's.  In high school, some of my friends worked there and the stories I heard convinced me to never eat their food.  As an adult, I've heard of stuff that goes down from people all over.  So, basically these "stories" are in fact true, considering that they are coming from completely different sources.

Anyway, it was only a matter of time for that place to go up in flames.  Not literally, but apparently......literally.  I wonder if they got all of their coke out of the basement before the fire dept & police dept got there.  Maybe they started the fire so they could get money from their insurance company to cover their asses for the new location opening up in Solon.

I feel bad for the surrounding businesses.  You could smell burning plastic all the way up to my house.  The good news is that, nobody was injured.  Good Luck to the firemen!

seriously!?!?!?!

So our flagpole lights were out.*  We took them down and put up a wreath that we had in the attic instead.  Then I decided to unstring the garland that is around the front door.  There are about 3-4 strands of lights on it.  The last strand is really finicky.  50 of the bulbs won't stay lit.  So after I attached a new set of 100, the same 50 won't work!!!!  WTF does that mean?!?!?!  Other than these lights are cheap and pieces of SH!Z!

I stood outside finagling the damn things and they finally worked.  I went inside and looked out the window- STILL ON!  I walked away and looked back out there.  Off.  Fudgenuckers!

WHY????

Mikey had a great high school football career!  So great, that he was offered a 5 year full ride to Buffalo!  Very cool!     And the even better news to that is that it's close!  So we can go see him play!  :)

I'm so proud of him!!!!

black friday shopping!

What does Black Friday mean to you?  Shopping, right?  Well for me it's "Put up Christmas decorations Day."  And I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  Standing in line for hours and fighting people over electronics is NOT my idea of a fun afternoon.  BUT, we really need a new tv.  And the one we want is $278 @ Walshart.   So, do I go & try to fight the crowd and get one?

No, I sit at home in my BIG, comfy bed tonight and order one online!  How frickin' cool is that?!? [I'm smarter.]

And the kicker.....FREE SHIPPING!  Hello World Wide Web, you've saved the day once again!

Now, I get to spend the morning/afternoon putting up my decorations.  Then I get to go to the football game and watch my little brother play in the semi-finals!  So nice.

Ok I have all of the Christmas gifts that I have bought so far completely wrapped!

I didn't even realize that Thanksgiving is tomo.  We always go out on Thanksgiving Eve.  I got a call asking if we were still going, and I said yes without even thinking that we have a baby now & have to find a sitter.  haha.  oops!  Hope we don't have one of those "you have a baby.......in a bar," situations.  jk  It's all taken care of.

Friday, I get to put up the Christmas decorations!  I love that day!  I bought a wreath today, to help support After Prom.  Crap. Now I have to find a place to put it.

ok, that is IT!

I'm sick....and tired. Of looking & feeling the way I do.  My gut even has cellulite!  ARE YOU FRICKIN' KIDDING ME?!?!?!  How have I lost ALL of the weight that I've gained during pregnancy and am fatter than I was before I got pregnant?  Did that baby seriously suck out all of my muscle and replace it with thick layers of FAT?  What a jerk. haha  And not to mention, but my back is worse than ever.  It, no joke, hurts ALL OF THE TIME.  Like, there isn't a SECOND that my back doesn't hurt.  And NOBODY can help me with it.  Literally, nobody.  I can't even lie on the ground with my kid without being in excruciating pain.

I'm done ranting......for now.

So, I'm sure some of you have seen the movie Valentine's Day.  And if you have, you were probably as disappointed as me.  It looks like it's going to be such a GREAT movie, with an all-star cast.

Apparently, someone didn't learn their lesson.  They are basically doing it ALL OVER again with New Year's Eve!  I want to give it a chance, but I was so disappointed with the first one.

In other movie news:  I just saw the movie The Roommate.  It was creepy.  Not scary creepy, but psychotic creepy.  Ha.  I thought I had a lame roommate, but thank God she wasn't like this character!  HAHAHA!  I can deal with the syncope!

And have you seen the movie, Salt?  It's really frickin' good!  So I suggest that one.  Good action!  Tonight, I'll probably watch The Young Victoria.  Hope it's a good one!

Our family gets together every sunday for dinner.  Whoever is hosting makes the main course, and then everyone else brings sides or dessert.  Our first night went well, can't wait for the rest!
