Daddy Day Dinner

I made my dad a book titled The Afternoon Adventures of Caden & Papa.  It was so horrible, which made it hilarious!  HAHAHA!




We had artichoke appetizers with cucumbers rolled up with a cream cheese filling that had roasted red peppers in it.  For dinner it was a Surf-n-Turf!  Steak, Lobster, baked potatoes, & asparagus.  And for desert: Coconut Creme Pie.

After checking out Erin's old neighborhood we walked along the lake into downtown.  We walked at least 14 miles that day.  I know, because I used my pedometer app.  Plus I had blisters and felt skinnier the next day.

So we were across the street from that statue and we couldn't figure out what was going on.  Let's just say it seemed a tit inappropriate.  But apparently, it's not.  Speaking OF INAPPROPRIATE.  So it bugs me a little that churches ask for money during mass.  Well how about this for impersonal: a GIVING KIOSK.  Just swipe your credit card and give us your money.  God is watching you.





That "baby" was so creepy.  I wish it was for sale.



We also walked by Ghiradelli Chocolates. Erin said, "We should go in here. They sometimes give out free samples."  Free samples of chocolate!?!  I'm in!  So we walk in and receive our chocolate.  It's pretty crowded in there and someone pops a balloon.  It pretty much sounded like a gunshot.  Nothing like a good caffeine snack and a heart attack all in one place!

Then Erin took us to Sprinkles!  Cupcakes.  mmmm.  They are working on having a 24 hour service cupcake vending machine outside their store soon.






I want some vanilla soft serve sooooo badly right now.  And OMG the Chicago hot dog. YUM!
