look! LOOK! the sun is coming out

2 min b4 the race started.

the horses turning their last turn to the finish line

it's like we were stuck in a dark bubble all day....

barely able to open our eyes bc of the "bubble" and then going into the sun.

actually my camera was just effed up and would open all the way

boom! there it is!!!

we certainly benefited by where we parked and how quickly we were able to get outta there. ppl who took taxis to either their car or hotel had to wait like 45 min. then sit in traffic.

jimmy told him that he looked like someone, but i forget who and the guy was so drunk that he was like, "yeah."

before we went into the derby

some of the bystanders didn't think i could eat that whole turkey leg....fools

this guy was sooooo gross.

he had food hanging out of his mouth and mustard all over his face and he could barely stand up

it's 2pm and we are drunk.

love it!

mmmm.  the mint juleps were soooo strong!  and the lilies were fantasic. i kept thinking they didnt have any alcohol in them.  prolly bc i drank them after the juleps.

p.s. not all of the glasses we drank out of made it home.  i think we ended up with 2.

he wasn't drunk yet but he did slip up his words and say, "KunDerby Ducky"

*some guy asked us, "hey, do you know where the pisser is? i gotta piss like a racehorse."  hmm--how appropriate.

*there was one girl who was sooooo hosed.  she stumbled by with a group of guys & jimmy says, "shhhhhhe's gonna get raped."  haha

*there was another girl curled up on the ground. and some guy did the Captain Morgan stance on her.  but she wouldn't get up.  she just kept crawling around.  haha

so on the way down there....

we passed a rickety old school bus with a bunch of college students in it smoking bongs.

it was really funny.  wish i had the camera out.

then when we got to louisville we saw this kid wearing SUPER short shorts and a polo.  it was funny, so jimmy tried to get a pic but too slow.

we didn't hit any traffic either way.  it was almost like we were pros at this.  we also got a really awesome parking space.  it's the little things.  haha.

it's just crazy to think i was at an event with those celebrities.  granted they were in the royalty sections and i was where the common pilgram villagers run a muck.  but still....VERY cool.

we're back

well we made it home and survived our first kentucky derby infield party!  and when i say "first" i mean it. we had soooooo much fun!  i've pretty much slept all day today.  we are definitely coming back again next year!  i will post pictures AND video asap. just feelin' too lazy now.  i hope everyone had as great of a weekend as we did!
