Wicker Park & Blues Fest

Started off the day with Jimmy's first cab ride.  Adam told him he has to find out the cabbie's favorite color as well as hailin' the cab itself.  He did well.  And the answer was green.  Good man.

Wicker Park is kind of like our Coventry.

That night we decided to go to the Chicago Blues Fest for some good music and some GREAT people watching.






This guy is apparently staying awhile here or he has a wardrobe change, because that's his blue suitcase.  He was a dancing foo!

Last Day...

We had brunch at this restaurant.  SO friggin good.  I ordered the Tour de France.  Oh man thinking about the food makes me so hungry!


One last stop:



I have already taken pictures of Eliot Ness' gravesite, so it's only fitting that I do the same for Al Capone.  Jimmy & I thought it was funny that there is no grass in front of his tombstone, because he gets so many visitors.

Naperville, IL

Hey, we have a week's vacation time.  Wanna go to Chicago?  Um...YEAH!

It took us about 5 hours 20 min to get to Naperville.  The ride went by so fast.  We played Rock Trivia the whole time and never needed to use our iPods.  Ha.







We stopped at Notre Dame, just for the hell of it.  Then it was off to Naperville.  Erin lives there & we were staying with her for a couple of days before we ventured into the big city.  Naperville is a cute town, with the vibe of Chagrin Falls, just bigger.  It's like if you take: Chagrin, South Russell, & Bainbridge and put them together and coincidently it's right next to an Aurora as well.  We did some "sightseeing" to walk off the AMAZING burgers we had at Blackfinn.  YUM!

Later, that night, we had the BEST Chicago pizza, HANDS DOWN @ Lou Malnati's   Oh crap.  Now I want some.  Damnit.  They do ship.  Hmmm....

Mike's High School Graduation!

My dad couldn't make it because he was in the hospital.  They always have alumni stand, so my mom made this to hold up during that time.  Jimmy & I said it's kinda morbid, like he past away or something.  Ha.  But it was all in good thought.  Plus HOLY CRAP does Mike look JUST like him!  He's the stud looking up on the right.















It was REALLY windy!  Other than that, it was a perfect day for graduating.











Congrats Mike!  Can't wait to see you excel in college!

Blossom Time Balloon Glow 2012

This was the 2nd or 3rd Balloon glow that I've been to.  It was ehh...  Doesn't last too long and Caden didn't care about it all that much.  Haha.  Pie Eating Contest instead- next year!
